Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (2001):

The first time i saw this movie, Emma and I watched it cause it looked interesting. The cover had Jim Carrey on it so i thought “Oh good, a comedy”. Sorry, katie, not even close. This roller coaster of a film takes you on a great ride into the mind of Joel Barish(Carrey) after he decides to delete an ex-lover from his memory. This well thought out story kept me interested, but you need to pay close attention, you just might miss something.

SUMMARY: A couple undergo a procedure to erase each other from their memories when their relationship turns sour, but it is only through the process of loss that they discover what they had to begin with.

PLOT/STORY: Very original, there have not been many movies that have original stories that are actually good. But you need to pay attention, you can’t just skim over this movie, you need to pay attention.

ACTING: Jim Carrey did amazing. This is his best work, some people don’t think comedians can do serious roles but Jim Carrey does it well.

CINEMATOGRAPHY: I was DROOLING all over the screen watching this movie. I love everything that Michel Gondry did.

BEST SCENE: When joel and clementine are in the blue house by the beach and the house starts to fall apart.

DIALOGUE: Absolutely amazing, very deep in some parts. But also here is always that dry humor thats always lingering.
